Cathay Pacific is launching a legal appeal of the EUR57 million ($78 million) fine imposed by the European Commission due to alleged cargo price fixing by Cathay and 10 other airlines. The appeal was filed with the General Court of the European Union, Cathay says. A similar appeal was filed in the Seoul High Court in December, challenging an antitrust ruling on the same issue by the Korean Fair Trade Commission.
